What is a CBIP Inspector?

In the context of access equipment a 'CBIP inspector' is someone certified as competent by the Certification Board for Inspection Personnel to perform the necessary safety inspections that are required on elevating work platforms by the Approved Code of Practice for Power-operated Elevating Work Platforms (ACOP).

The Department of Labour only recognises as of right safety certificates issued by inspectors with CBIP credentials. Any other certificate may be vetted or audited against the ACOP's requirements.

Failure to employ CBIP certified equipment may also void your insurance coverage or put you in breach of your contract or quality assurance obligations.
